WHO WE ARE
Advancing Excellence in Health Promotion
Health Promotion Ontario (HPO) is the voice of health promotion professionals across Ontario. Our goal is to highlight the critical importance of health promotion through professional development, membership engagement, effective communication, and strong advocacy.
HPO has been active since 1987 with dedicated members from public health units, community health centres, not-for-profit organizations, academic institutions and other health-oriented organizations.

We Champion Excellence in Health Promotion Practice
At HPO, we are dedicated to promoting the health of Ontarians through excellence in health promotion practice by:
Offering webinars on timely topics in health promotion;
Recognition of excellence in health promotion practice through the Lori Chow Memorial Award;
Advocating on the critical importance of health promotion and its practice.
Our committed members play a crucial role in our mission, bringing their passion and expertise to advance health promotion across Ontario.
